6.5 MTPA CIL Upgrade Project

LOCATION: Masbate Gold Project (MGP), Brgy Puro, Arorory, Masbate

INDUSTRY: Mining

PROJECT OWNER: Philippine Gold Processing and Refining Corporation (PGPRC)

MAIN CONTRACTOR: WITCO Construction

MATERIAL: Carbon Steel, HDPE

STATUS: Completed

In 2014, PGPRC decided to increase its gold production by increasing the percentage of gold extracted from the raw materials. The 6.5 MTPA Upgrade which includes Preparatory Works, CIL Tanks, Pre- Areation & Leach Tanks, Top of CIL Tanks Structures, Top of Pre-Aeration and Leach Tanks, Piping Works, Electrical Works, Mechanical Installation of Equipment Works and other improvements in the plant was awarded through negotiations with WITCO Construction. The project was successfully completed on time and with the right quality in 2016. Currently, WITCO serves to be the main contractor in MGP working on the 8MTPA Upgrade-Ball Mill #3 Upgrade.

Piping Works for Shell Projects

LOCATION: Various Locations in the Philippines

  • STATUS: Completed

WITCO Construction was continuously awarded various projects by Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corporation between 2002 to 2011 in various locations in the Philippines. WITCO was able to construct the piping and mechanical works at Shell Poro Depot – San Fernando, La Union, Pasacao Depot – Camarines Sur; Additive Injection System at Shell-Currimao Depot – Ilocos Norte and Water Reservoir at Shell-Currimao Depot – Ilocos Norte to name a few.

8 MTPA Upgrade – Construction of Ball Mill No.3

In 2018, PGPRC awarded to WITCO the contract to construct the civil works, structural steel, mechanical plateworks, piping, electrical and equipment installation for Ball Mill No. 3. This is the second upgrade awarded to WITCO by PGPRC.

Erection & Installation of New Steel Lining/Penstock for Water Conduit Ambuklao

Hydroelectric Power Plant

LOCATION: Brgy. Ambuklao, Bokod, Buenguet

  • MAIN CONTRACTOR: MCConnel Dowell
  • MATERIAL: Carbon Steel
  • STATUS: Completed

In 2007, Ambuklao was sold to SN Aboitiz Power under the power sector privatization program of the Philippine government. A rehabilitation project was launched to increase its capacity from 75 MW to 105 MW through the construction of a new intake, headrace and penstock, elevation of tailrace tunnel outlet, de-silting of tailrace tunnel and replacement of electro-mechanical components.

In 2016, McConnell Dowell, was awarded one of the contracts and subcontracted WITCO to erect and install the New Steel Lining/Penstock for Water Conduit Ambuklao Hydroelectric Power Plant. WITCO also supplied manpower for miscellaneous fabrication and installation of piping work for the rehabilitation project.

Remote IPT Apron Fuel Hydrant System

LOCATION: NAIA Terminal 2, Andrews Ave., Pasay

  • INDUSTRY: Petrochemical
  • PROJECT OWNER: Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA)
  • MAIN CONTRACTOR: Tokyu Construction Co. Ltd.
  • MATERIAL: Carbon Steel
  • STATUS: Completed

In 2000, WITCO Construction was subcontracted by Tokyu Construction Co., Ltd. For the Engineering, Construction and Non- Destructive Testing (NDT) of Fuel Hydrant System for NAIA Terminal 2 Development Project. After successfully delivering the project, WITCO was awarded the contract for Engineering, Civil, Mechanical and Piping Works for the Construction of Additional Low Point Draining Facilities for NAIA Terminal 2 Fuel Hydrant System. WITCO also performed the re-testing of NAIA Terminal 2 Fuel Hydrant System to ensure the quality of the project.

Davao Bulk Water Supply

LOCATION: NAIA Terminal 2, Andrews Ave., Pasay

  • MAIN CONTRACTOR: Tokyu Construction Co. Ltd.
  • MATERIAL: Carbon Steel
  • STATUS: Completed
